- Retired baby boomer, born in April of 1947. I was born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula; grew up in Munising on the shores of Lake Superior. My wife is from Kaleva. The Kaleva countryside and surrounding woodland and waters, are close to what I experienced growing up in the UP. I feel at home again.
